Wizamet
Wilkinson Sword was contracted by the Polish government to build a factory and train personnel in the late 1960's.
Wizamet was a Polish company, located in Widzew, a district of Lodz.
Wizamet comes from - Wizewskie Zaklady Metalowe (Translated means Widzew's Metal Factory)
In 1992 it was bought by Gillette and they continued to produce razors and blades.
The blades that they produced were:
Polsilver Stainless
Polsilver Super Iridium
Wizamet Super Iridium
They produced a variety of razors, three of which were adjustable:
W10 Elegant - a Gillette Super Adjustable clone
W11 Elegant - Two versions, one with a smooth handle and the other with a ridged handle.
The W11 Elegant with the smooth handle was probably the most popular of the three.
