Gillette FatBoy

What more can I add that has not been already said about this iconic razor.

FatBoys were relatively short lived - only 3½ years. They were manufactured between 1958-Quarter 3 (D3) and 1962-Quarter 1 (H1). They were known as the 195 Razor because of their price of $1,95.
They had some minor design changed during the 3½ years, The earlier ones are more sought after because they are easier to dismantle to clean.

The three images in the second row are of my second FatBoy that was Cerakoted by the now defunct Delta Echo Razors.
I know that the traditionalists don't believe in this sort of "upgrade", and I personally would not do this to a rare razor, but FatBoys are very common. The workmanship is impeccable.

How do they shave?
I find that they are mild to early medium shavers and tend to prefer them with new or newish blades.
