This plain looking Darwin is actually far rarer than its ornate sibling.
Its a Two-Piece and adjusts by just loosening the handle. The base plate is attached to the handle and swivels freely. This comes from a time when blades were thicker and had more spring in them, so when using the current thin blades of today, the adjustability is very limited.
Like the "Standard" there are graduations at the top of the handle and a corresponding arrow on the underside of the base plate.
Popular (pun intended) opinion is that they did not look like their ornate siblings and most of them got thrown away.
Its Chrome Plated Brass, probably manufactured in the late 1920's and it was advertised as "Adjustable to suit all beards".
